Dustin Brunelle is a senior on the Milton Boys Varsity Ice Hockey team.

With the help of the Milton High School Athletic Department, the Milton Independent sent a questionnaire to all senior winter athletes. Follow along over the next few weeks as we shine a spotlight on those who responded.

Dustin Brunelle (#16) is a senior who plays left wing for the Milton Boys Varsity Ice Hockey team.

Q: What is a memorable moment from your time on the team?

A: The 2020 championship game. The atmosphere of it won’t ever be matched in another sporting event I compete in. Being there with that team was a dream come true. All the screaming fans and my family getting to see me play in a state championship was awesome.

Q: What was most challenging about your senior season?

A: Dealing with COVID protocols. It’s hard to look at previous seasons and see how awesome they were and how much more engaged with the public they were, but I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to play another year of hockey.

Q: What are you looking forward to after graduation? What is next for you?

A: I’m looking forward to getting my job all set and hopefully training in mixed martial arts. I’ve had a lot of interest in that realm lately and I look forward to having time to improve my skills.
