Milton back to school 2021

Students walk into Milton High School for the first day of the 2021-22 school year on Aug. 25.

MILTON — At 7:05 a.m. Wednesday morning, the first big yellow bus opened up its doors outside Milton High School to let out a group of students.

Quickly, more students began arriving – by bus, bike, car and foot. Though masked, their smiles could be seen in their eyes. Co-principals Ann Blake and Mary Jane Stinson were present, welcoming students and answering questions.

Mike Abbott, the school's new director of student engagement, was outside greeting students as well. This is his first year at MHS, and he said he is excited to begin interacting with students.

Upon entering the building, students were welcomed with live music from Peter Wyndorf, a social studies and creative media teacher. Some students grabbed breakfast from the Cruising Cafe and others gathered to chat with friends.

The school's freshman, who make up the class of 2025, embark on their high school journey today. Good luck to them and to all MHS students and staff!
