Road closed July 4 sign

A temporary sign on Route 7 informs motorists on the road's closure from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 4.

MILTON — A celebratory Independence Day parade kicks off a day of festivities in Milton on Sunday.

Here's the schedule of events.

If you'll be commuting on Sunday, plan an alternate route, because from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the following roads will be affected due to the parade:

  • Herrick Avenue

  • Barnum Street

  • Route 7 (from Barnum Street to Middle Road)

  • Middle Road (from the Route 7 intersection to the intersection of Hobbs Road and Bombardier Road)

  • Bombardier Road

Fireworks in the evening will also cause slow traffic in the Bombardier Road area.
