Friday, Oct. 15

Marrs Hollow Road-6:33 p.m.

  • A Sargent responded to a residence on Marrs Hollow Road where a resident reported hearing shotgun shots near their home after sundown.  The area was searched and no one was found.

I89 Exit 17 Sb, Colchester, VT-9:02 p.m.

  • Police received a report that a vehicle was operating erratically on the interstate. The vehicle was located and stopped.  The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. 

Saturday, Oct. 16

Middle Road-10:26 a.m. 

  • A Corporal responded to the parking lot of a business on Middle Road a vehicle was reported to be parked for a couple of weeks. Upon finding the vehicle, the registered owner was contacted, and confirmed the vehicle was in the process of being transferred to their child. The vehicle was parked in the lot prior to a trip, and would be retrieved upon their return. No criminal or suspicious activity was noted.

Mears Road / Everest Road-4:16 p.m.

  • An officer was dispatched to the area of Mears Road and Everest Road where it was reported that a tree was down and partially blocking the roadway. Upon arrival, the tree was down on the electrical wires, not in the road. Green Mountain Power was notified and requested to respond.  

Sunday, Oct. 17

Lake Road-12:33 a.m.

  • Police were dispatched to a residence on Lake Road where a resident reported that her boyfriend was throwing things around their home. Upon arrival, it was discovered that there was a domestic dispute and the couple were arguing verbally only. The two individuals declined further intervention from the police. 

Boysenberry Dr-5:17 p.m.

  • An officer made a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. After identifying the operator, it was determined that their license was criminally suspended. The driver was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Monday, Oct. 18

Rita Way-10:08 a.m. 

  • Police responded to a report of a  residence on Rita Way where a group of people were causing a disturbance. When they arrived police  met with family members who were having a verbal dispute. The two parties were able to work out their dispute and no other interventions were needed..

Beaver Brook Road-11:42 p.m.

  • Police were sent to a residence on Beaver Brook Road where a resident reported that a car was parked at the base of their driveway and it appeared someone was walking around the house before leaving. The homeowner advised that a marijuana plant had been taken from the property. The car was located and the occupants were identified. All of the occupants were issued citations to appear in court at a later date. 

I89 SB On Ramp #Exit 17, Colchester, VT-11:59 p.m.

  • An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an observed motor vehicle violation. After identifying the occupants in the vehicle, it was learned that the passenger had an active warrant. The passenger will appear in court for the warrant at a later date. 

Tuesday, Oct. 19

Main St / River Road-10:56 p.m.

  • An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was confirmed that the driver’s license was suspended and they had  an active warrant. The operator was taken into custody for the warrant and will appear in court at a later date. 

Wednesday, Oct. 20

Georgia Shore Road, St Albans Town, VT-6:43 p.m.

  • A corporal responded to the area of Georgia Shore Road with the report of a vehicle operating erratically. The area was searched and the vehicle in question was not located. 

Thursday, Oct. 21

Hunting Ridge Ln-1:00 a.m.

  • A corporal responded to a residence on Hunting Ridge Lane to help Colchester Rescue with a person who fell down the stairs. 

259 US Route 7 S-10:20 a.m.

  • Police responded to the area of Hannaford on RT 7 with an emergency alarm activation. The area was searched, though the vehicle and the owner initially could not be located. Eventually the owner was found to have returned home and said  the alarm activation was accidental. 

Deer Run Dr / Poor Farm Road-4:28 p.m. 

  • After clearing from another call in the area, a Sargent observed a disabled vehicle at the intersection of Deer Run and Poor Farm Road. Since the driver lived a few houses away, the Sargent assisted the driver with pushing the vehicle back to their residence.
