Friday, Nov. 26

 US RT 7 / Georgia Town Line-7:33 p.m. 

  • A Corporal responded to the area of US RT 7 where it was reported that a vehicle went off the road due to snowy and icy conditions. There were no injuries, and the vehicle did not sustain visible damage. 

Poor Farm Road / Highland Ave-10:27 p.m. 

  • An officer was sent to the area of Poor Farm Road and Highland Ave where it was reported that a tree had fallen and was on the utility power lines. The officer stood by until Green Mountain Power was able to respond to remove the hazard from the power lines and road. 

Saturday, Nov. 27

Middle Road / Rock Ledge Dr-1:22 a.m. 

  • A Corporal responded to the area of Middle and Rock Ledge Drive for the report of a vehicle off the road. The driver said they were delivering papers when their vehicle slid off the road into two mailboxes. There were no reports of injuries and the Corporal remained on scene until the vehicle was removed from the ditch. 

East Road-9:33 a.m. 

  • An officer spoke to a resident on East Road who had questions regarding potential custodial interference. The officer explained when police would be involved versus when it is a matter of the courts.

Sunday, Nov. 28

Manley Road-11:23 p.m. 

  • An officer spoke with a resident on Manley Road who reported he was being blackmailed by an anonymous woman on the internet. The individual was advised to report the incident to the Vermont Attorney General Scam Hotline. 

River St / Rebecca Lander Dr-8:42 a.m.  

  • A corporal initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon identifying the driver it was learned that their license was under suspension. The driver was given a citation and will appear in court at a later date. 

Monday, Nov. 29

US Route 7 S-10:56 a.m.

  • An officer initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was learned that their license was suspended and they had court conditions not to drive. The operator was issued a citation and will appear in court at a later date. 

Tuesday, Nov. 30

US RT 7 S-8:00 a.m.

  • A Corporal and an officer responded to a residence on US RT 7 where it was reported that two individuals were trespassing and sleeping in a vacant building. Officers met with the individuals who were ultimately trespassed from the building. One of the subjects had an active warrant and was taken into custody to appear in court. 

Middle Rd / Shirley Ave-5:41 p.m. 

  • A Corporal initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon making contact with the driver, it was learned that their license was suspended. The operator was issued a citation and will appear in court at a later date. 

Wednesday, Dec. 1

West Side-12:01 a.m.

  • An officer issued a warning for a vehicle parked in the road in violation of the Winter Parking Ban. 

Main St-2:32 p.m.

  • A Corporal was sent to the area of Main Street where it was reported that a dog was loose in the road, preventing the flow of traffic. After arriving on scene, it was determined the dog had run out of an open door from a residence nearby. The dog ran back inside and the residence was checked then re-secured. 

Thursday, Dec. 2

Watkins Road-8:16 a.m.

  • A Sergeant responded to Watkins Road where it was reported a vehicle had been left to the side of the road for a number of days. The registered owner, who lived within walking distance of where the vehicle was left, was contacted and they said they would move the vehicle. 

Hemlock Road-10:03 a.m. 

  • A Corporal and a Sergeant responded to a residence on Hemlock Road for the report of a disturbance between two people. Upon arrival, it was learned that a brother and sister were having an argument that was verbal only and further police involvement was not needed.
