The Milton Police Department responded to 134 incidents between April 30-May 6 including 40 traffic stops, 5 disturbances and 14 motor vehicle complaints.

April 30

Manley Road-12:19 p.m.

  • Officer McQueen was dispatched to a residence with an open door. It was reported a tenant went to their landlord’s property to make a monthly payment and located the open door and no one responded when they called out. The landlord’s house sitter was at the house and left the door open for their dog to come and go as it pleased. 

Riverside Drive-10:33 p.m.

  • Cpl Grenier was dispatched to a disturbance involving an intoxicated male. While walking up to the house Cpl Grenier observed 19 year old Eric Davis of Milton throw a family member out the door and began striking them while the family member was on the ground. Additional officers from Colchester PD were called in to assist. Davis was ultimately arrested for domestic assault and disorderly conduct and citied into court at a later date. Additionally, 41 year old Jeremy Burrows (12/21/1979), arrested for simple assault on a law enforcement officer for kicking Officer Schiavo during the incident. Burrows was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date. 

May 1

Manley Road-3:24 a.m.

  • Officer McQueen assisted Colchester PD locate a female involved in a DUI. Officer McQueen provided diversion paperwork and a citation to appear in court at a later date to the female. 

Riverside Drive-7:21 p.m.

  • Officer Schiavo responded to a residence for a property dispute between two groups of people. One group reported the other stole a PlayStation and would not return it. While speaking to the group who had the PlayStation the owners of the PlayStation arrived. A large fight broke out between the parties. Addition officers from Colchester PD responded to assist. The incident is still under investigation, however, criminal charges to include unlawful mischief, petit larceny, aggravated disorderly conduct, and impeding a public officer are anticipated.  

May 2

Boysenberry Drive-7:22 a.m.

  • Officer McQueen mediated a visitation / custody dispute between two parties.  

US Route 7

  • Officer Schiavo was dispatched to intercept a suspected impaired driver called in by a concerned citizen. As a result, 39 year old Justine Hedman of Milton was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date. 

May 3

North Road-1:17 p.m.

  • Officer Jones and K9 Biscotti responded to a two car accident. Investigation on scene revealed a package delivery truck drove past their destination and placed their vehicle in reverse. The driver did not see the car behind them as he backed up in the travel lane. Neither party was injured. The operator of the package delivery truck was issued a ticket for limitation on backing which carries a $220.00 penalty and 2 points.  

West Milton Road-6:38 p.m.

  • Cpl Coulombe conducted a motor vehicle stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. As a result, 26 year old Cody Paquette of South Burlington was issued a citation to answer to the charges of driving with a suspended license and violating pre-trial conditions of release. His passenger, 28 year old Brandon Merrihew of Burlington, was found to be consuming alcohol in the vehicle. He received a ticket for possessing an open container in a motor vehicle and was in violation of several court orders prohibiting him from possessing alcohol. He was also issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the charge of violating conditions of release. 

May 4

Woodcrest Circle-12:50 p.m.

  • Detective Hendry was dispatched to a residential alarm. He checked the property and found the building was secured. 

Haydenberry Drive-8:38 p.m.

  • Officer Corbin was on patrol when he observed a heated argument in the parking lot of McDonald’s. He was able to mediate the argument and one party left on foot. 

May 5

Bombardier Road-1:30 p.m.

  • Officer Bosworth spoke with a citizen who had several question about the eviction and trespass process.  

Southerberry Drive-1:56 p.m.

  • Officer McQueen was dispatched to a dispute regarding the sale of a motorcycle. One party failed to pay the full agreed upon price. Officer McQueen provided suggestions to remedy the situation. 

May 6

Sanderson Road-2:26 a.m.

  • Officer Schiavo responded to a single car accident. The operator advised there was an animal in the roadway and swerved to avoid the collision. The car sustained moderate damage and the operator was not injured. Speed and impairment did not appear to be factors in the accident. 

Caldo Lane-7:23 p.m.

  • Cpl Grenier mediated a phone dispute and increased patrols in the area as it believed the other party was impaired and would drive to the caller’s home. Cpl Grenier remained in the area but the other party never arrived.
