Sgt. Locke spoke with multiple drivers who were turning left onto Bombardier Road from U.S. Route 7 in violation of the Milton Town Ordinance.

SRO Raymond assisted the Milton High School with a student who had brought alcohol onto school grounds.

Officer Corbin responded to a vandalism complaint. However, upon his arrival that caller had left and there was no indication the vandalism occurred in the Town of Milton.

Sgt. LaFountain assisted a caller who believed they were the subject of a common scam. The caller turned in the fraudulent check that was sent to them through US Mail. Sgt. LaFountain documented the fraudulent check and destroyed it.

1/24, 2:16 p.m., Retail Theft, Centre Dr.
Officer Jones investigated a retail theft involving multiple juveniles. The company requested Officer Jones speak with the juveniles parents as recourse for this case.

1/24, 8:31 p.m., Suspicious, Route 7
Officer Noel was approached by a concerned citizen who reported a verbal argument in a nearby parking lot. Officer Noel located the couple and determined no physical altercation took place and they did not need police assistance.

1/24, 11:48 p.m., Domestic Disturbance, Railroad St.
Officer Corbin responded to the report of a physical domestic in progress. Through his investigation he determined there was insufficient evidence for a criminal charge. Neither party wished to leave the residence for the evening and explained they would okay remaining together. Milton Officers did not receive any further calls.

1/25, 10:51 a.m., Vandalism, Manley Rd.
Officer McQueen responded to a vandalized mailbox. The caller was unsure if it was vandalized or if a plow hit it inadvertently.

1/25, 12:41 p.m., Suspicious, Cherry St.
Officer Larente responded to the report of unknown foot prints in the yard and ashes and the smell of smoke in the caller’s car. The caller reported nothing was stolen and he was unable to follow the footprints due to the weather.

Officer Larente spoke with a citizen who was looking for advise on discouraging trespassers.

1/26, 11:35 a.m., Illegal Dumping, West Milton Rd. at Bear Trap Rd.
Officer McQueen was dispatched to an illegal dumping complaint. He located a small bath tub and several pieces of lumber. There was no indication as to who is responsible.

Officer Bosworth assisted a caller with an ongoing harassment issue via social media.

1/27, 1:27 a.m., Disturbance, Chrisemily Ln.
Officer Brown mitigated an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend. They agreed they could remain in the house together for the night and have the conversation in the morning. Milton officers did not receive any further calls. 

1/27, 7:56 p.m., Motor Vehicle Complaint, Lawnwood Dr.
Officer Bosworth was dispatched to a parking complaint in the Birchwood Trailer Park. Officer Bosworth suggested the caller reach out to the association as the roadway is privately maintained.

1/28, 9:38 a.m., Vandalism, Middle Rd.
This case is under active investigation by Officer Jones.

1/28, 2:26 p.m., Public Speaking, Herrick Ave.
SRO Raymond spoke with a pre-K class about bus safety and read a short story to them.

1/28, 8:50 p.m., K9 Assist, West Allen St.
Cpl. Porter and K9 Hatchi were requested to assist Winooski PD with a sniff of a backpack suspected of containing narcotics. The case is currently being investigated by Winooski PD.

1/29, 12:13 a.m., Assist Motorist, Route 2
Cpl. Porter assisted a motorist who had broken down on U.S. Route 2. The motorist had already called for a tow truck and did not need further police assistance.

1/29, 11:41 a.m., Public Assist, Beaver Brook Rd.
Sgt. LaFountain spoke with a caller who wished to retrieve property per a court order. The court order also stipulated the plaintiff was to be made aware and consent to the time. LaFountain was unable to make contact with the plaintiff to facilitate and exchange.
