Milton – Denise M. Greenia-Phillips, 49, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 1, 2012 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

Denise was born in St. Albans on Oct. 22, 1962, the daughter of Bernard and Marion (Bascom) Greenia.

She graduated from Milton High School and the Burlington College of Cosmetology.

Denise is survived by her husband, Paul Phillips, of Milton; their children Ashley McClain and her daughters Hannah and Britney of Essex; Michelle Phillips and her son David of Milton; and Kevin Phillips of Milton; by her siblings Bernard Greenia, Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Tennessee; Ingrid Rodd and her husband, William, of St. Albans; Mary Lou Vincelette and her husband, Alan, of St. Albans, Bonnnie Wasson and her husband, Russell, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Thomas Greenia of Washington, D.C. and by several nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law and father-in-law,  Monique and Donald  Phillips, of  Winooski.

She was predeceased by her brother, Frank, and her mother and father, Marion and Bernard Greenia.

A funeral service was held Sunday, Oct. 7 at the First Baptist Church in  St. Albans.

Visiting hours were held Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton.
