Milton – Thomas A. Russell, 59, died peacefully early Saturday morning, Oct. 20, 2012 with his wife, Kathy, by his side.

Tommy was born on December 9, 1952 in Burlington, the son of Leonard and Barbara (Paradee) Russell. He graduated from Milton High School in 1970. On Sept. 8, 1973, he married Katherine Lee Desranleau.

He had served in the Army Reserves and was most recently employed by Home Depot as a tool technician. Tom had also worked for Vermont Transit and Cole’s Trucking for many years.

Tom had a great love for woodworking and enjoyed making furniture for many of his family members. He and Kathy also loved camping.

In addition to Kathy, he is survived by his daughter, Denise Russell, of Essex; her boyfriend, Nick Pelletier, of Williston; by his mother, Barbara Russell, of Milton; his aunts Marjorie Bourgeois and Peggy Paquette; his cousins Paulette and Lewis Peltier, Jackie and Gary Root, John Bourgeois and Brian Roy and Guy and Maureen Paradee and by his brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws Sally Young, Jean Desranleau, Brian and Dale Desranleau, John and Annie Desranleau, Jim and Jill Desranleau, Jackie and Gary Kendrew, Dan Desranleau and Brent Desranleau and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Leonard Russell; his father- and mother-in-law Emile and Katherine Desranleau, his uncles John Bourgeois, Harold Russell and Jack Paradee; his aunt, Lois Robar, and his brothers-in-law Alton Lombard, Gary Desranleau and Robert Young.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. Burial will follow in the Milton Village Cemetery.
