This feature highlights two students, grades K-12, who demonstrate a commitment to their community through volunteerism and being overall good citizens. This week, we feature a group of fifth-graders from Milton Elementary School known as “The Green Team.”

Led by Brooke Gannon, Milton Town School District’s farm-to-school coordinator, the Green Team helps the school community learn more about how we can do our part to lower our impacts on the environment. They will be responsible for analyzing and explaining various data sets using graphs, preparing activities for other MES students, making recommendations based on the data collected and continuing to be positive and conscientious role models. This group also works in partnership with the Chittenden Solid Waste District in Williston.
