Milton police are investigating a shooting they’ve deemed was accidental, a press release Sunday night said.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning, Feb. 10 at a residence on Meadow Road, police said.

A 26-year-old male was treated for a minor leg wound. The hospital contacted Milton PD, which began an investigation into the shooting.

Police say the initial investigation shows the man was shot accidentally by an acquaintance.

Police are withholding the names of the parties involved due to the ongoing investigation.
