BRISTOL — Three goals and an assist from Nate Jenkins and four saves by Dustin Rock helped Milton earn a 7-5 win over Mt. Abraham, the lacrosse program’s all-time best 10th of the season.

In their nine previous years, the Yellowjackets had not won more than nine games. With a victory in one of the two remaining regular-season games, Milton would surpass the overall wins total from the 2014 season, which included a first-round tournament victory. Milton (10-4) visits Rice Memorial H.S. on Tuesday and hosts winless U-32 a week from today before heading into the tournament with at least a top-four seed already locked up.

At Mt. Abraham on Thursday, Jenkins set up Milton’s first goal and scored three of their remaining six. Connor Beaupre scored two more with an assist, Devon Jackson had a goal and two assists, and Kyle LeBeau scored one.

For the Eagles (7-5), Charlie Meyer had a hat trick while Connor Conrad Marsano and Lucas Richter scored one each. Richter, Dylan Weaver and Owen LeBarr had assists and goalie Tucker Paradee finished with 13 saves.
