All artists deserve recognition

I was reading the article about the Milton Art Guild’s event of last Thursday and was surprised to see that you only talked about and showed images of three of the four artists that had been featured. The glaring omission was author Steve Delaney who was there with copies of his book “The Last Irish Goddess” on which he spoke when each of the three artists in attendance (one was not able to be there) gave short presentations. MAG now recognizes the literary arts along with various other crafts and boasts a few authors as members. As a fellow author with several titles in print, I am frustrated that the Milton Independent would very consciously omit Mr. Delaney from the report on this great event. I was there and spent some very enjoyable time talking with him and watched as he was interviewed and photographed by both the local television news and your photographer/reporter. I would very much appreciate it if you would print an addendum to this week’s article and recognize Steve Delaney as a legitimate artist in his own right and participant in last week’s event.

Thank you,

Bob Pierce
Milton

Editor’s note: The Milton Independent acknowledges our error in not including author Steve Delaney in our coverage of the Milton Artists’ Guild MAGnificent ArtWalk. We were unaware he was a featured artist, as the event press release did not list him as such. We regret the omission.
