Travis Giard, Eric Menard and Derryk O’Grady all hit double figures for Milton as the Yellowjackets evened the score with BFA-Fairfax, earning their second straight victory while snapping the Bullets’ win streak at six games Saturday, 55-49.
Giard scored a game-high 16 points, Menard had 15 and O’Grady 11. O’Grady also pulled down eight rebounds and handed out 10 assists for a double-double.
Defensively, Sam Noel helped slow the BFA attack by taking three charges for the Yellowjackets.
Doug Legris led BFA with 13 points and Kris Wehner added 10.
“It was a total team effort on defense and eight out of 10 players scored for us,” Milton coach Jim O’Grady said.
BFA, which won the teams’ first meeting 61-51 December 28 in Fairfax — led by five going into the fourth quarter, 40-35. But Milton stormed back with a 20-9 edge in the final eight minutes, helped by a 9-for-13 effort at the foul line.
