Rates: The Independent charges for obituaries using the following scale: 45 cents/word (including person’s name). $5/photo. Committal notices and in memoriam with accompanying photos will remain free of charge, using the editor’s discretion that the submission is an appropriate length.
Deadlines: Please email all notices to firstname.lastname@example.org by Mondays at noon. We cannot guarantee placement of any obituary submitted on a Tuesday. Please include the funeral home's contact person and billing address.
