The Milton Community Youth Coalition would like to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers who made the first annual Boys’ Day a reality. The day was a great success with more than 50 attendees learning skills, having fun and making connections with strong male role models.

This year’s event featured cooking with Steve Marinelli, tug-of-war and camping with Boy Scout Troop 603, rocket demonstrations with Howie from the Champlain Regional Model Rocket Club, movie making with Stephanie from LCATV and much more!  Mike and the Big Blue Trunk made a special appearance, as well as local owners of antique cars.

Prizes were donated from Lowes, Allenholm Farms, Petra Cliffs, Zachary’s Pizza, Pizza Putt and the Milton Public Library. We couldn’t have done it without our contributors, including Paul Mergens, Lowes Home Improvement in Essex Junction and New Life Christian Fellowship, who generously donated the use of their space.

We hope to see you all again next year as Boys’ Day continues to grow!

Sincerely,
Hillary Boone, program director
