From the desk of Don Turner, Jr., Town of Milton manager This month we have spent a considerable amount of time preparing for Town Meeting Day. I believe in transparent government and want to insure that every resident is informed about the budget proposal and the overall financial status of Milton. We have done several budget interviews and have prepared two informational videos. The videos focus on the budget and other ballot articles. Francis C. King

MILTON – Francis Carl King, 82, of Milton passed away peacefully in his home, Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 in Milton. Francis was born Aug. 6, 1935 in Burlington the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Cole King. He was married to Martha King, who predeceased him in 1984. On April 19, 1986 he married Shirley Jennings in Milton. Francis served in the U.S. Army, stationed for three years in Germany. Upon his return to Vermont, he worked for livestock dealers A.C. Langford H. Hibbard

Milton – Langford H. Hibbard, 67, died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, with his loving family by his side. Lanny was born Sept. 23, 1950 in Burlington, the son of Lawrence and Bernice (Baxter) Hibbard. Lanny attended Milton High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.  On July 25, 1970, he married Diane Savoy in the United Church of Milton.
