Choquette back in district as athletic director

Milton Town School District will welcome its new athletic director, former Milton Middle School principal Marcel Choquette, on August 8. In a unanimous decision last Thursday, the three present board members offered the position to Choquette, the current Nordic Soccer Club director of operations, for his passion for athletics, range of experience and commitment to community, according to superintendent Amy Rex. The wind blew across Bombardier Park with a force that nullified the heat of the morning sun. Twenty people stood in rows moving their arms and legs in slow, synchronized movements, the Green Mountains their backdrop. Town approves Beaudoin clean fill operation

Milton’s Development Review Board approved Ted Beaudoin and S.D. Ireland’s major site work application for a clean fill operation, the decision released Friday shows. The DRB granted a community facility permit for 262 Middle Rd. provided the site earns all applicable approvals, including an Act 250 permit. For now, Beaudoin and the concrete giant can continue using the land under the terms of the prior waste management permit secured under the farmer’s agricultural exemption, development review planner Michael Burris said.
