Ferro leads Milton XC showing

COLCHESTER — Senior Mike Ferro led another strong outing for the Milton cross country team, wth the Yellowackets cruising to first place in a seven-team boys race last Wednesday after placing three of the first five runners. Ferro won the 5K competition in 18 minutes, 33.1 seconds, 23 seconds in front of teammate and runner-up Zach Popke. MILTON — Freshman Rhianna Sweeney scored her first two goals and Danielle Cummings took to a position shift for two more last Tuesday, Sept. 12 as Missisquoi overcame a sensational game by Milton goalkeeper Aly Sheehan for a 5-0 field hockey win.
